Fundamentals of Laboratory Safety - Incident or Near Miss Scenario

A laboratory incident, such as a sharps injury, could cause an employee serious harm or exposure to a dangerous pathogen. A near miss is an incident that doesn’t result in an injury or exposure, it’s called a near miss. It’s important to report and record all incidents, even near misses, to ensure risks are properly assessed and mitigated.
