OneLab VR: Practice Environment Scenario
Description
Designed to help you refine your virtual reality skills, the OneLab VR Practice Environment resembles a science classroom where learners are able to practice using laboratory equipment in a safe environment. This virtual environment features dozens of interactable objects that learners can manipulate and improve their virtual reality skills. Take some time to pipette into 96 well plates, centrifuge some water-filled tubes, streak an agar plate, and even use a microscope to view some specimens.
Scenario Objectives
At the end of this 10-15 minute scenario, learners should be able to:
- Feel comfortable moving around the virtual environment.
- Naturally pick up and put down objects in the practice environment.
- Feel confident in their virtual reality skillsets and be ready to start improving their laboratory skills in OneLab VR’s training scenarios.
Virtual Reality (VR) Hardware Needed
This VR course requires a play area of at least 3ft x 3ft, but a larger 20ft x 20ft space is ideal to make the experience feel more accurate and real. This VR course also requires a play area with 360° tracking. Currently, this course is designed to be viewed using OpenXR compatible headsets like the MetaQuest 3.
OneLab VR must be installed on your Meta Quest headset to complete this scenario
