This basic-level training helps to ensure testing personnel have the basic training necessary to safely and accurately perform patient testing waived under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). Waived testing can produce inaccurate results that could adversely impact patients. After this training, participants should understand how to ensure accurate and timely results and minimize the risk of inaccurate testing.
