Event Description
The purpose of the Laboratory Quality Network (LQN) is to connect laboratory testing personnel, general supervisors, technical supervisors, clinical consultants, and quality professionals to create a collaborative laboratory community of practice on laboratory quality and diagnostic excellence. The CLIA Compliance Program (CCP) within the Office of Laboratory Quality is positioned to help improve laboratory quality through engaging laboratory expertise, providing and using better data, and developing best practices. The overall goal for this session is to introduce and familiarize LQN attendees with Enterprise Laboratory Information Management (ELIMS) data analytic and metric reporting tools.
Event Objectives
After completing this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify innovative and efficient solutions for cross-cutting issues in CDC laboratories.
- Explain how to apply components of these solutions and quality practices at CDC.
- Discuss continual improvements in laboratory quality and diagnostic excellence that may result from applying these solutions and quality practices.
