Event Description
Join us for an informative session on the upcoming launch of Laboratory Director University (LDU), a program developed in partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This event is designed for current and prospective laboratory directors, managers, and personnel involved in laboratory operations and compliance who want to enhance their understanding of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) and improve their laboratory's compliance and performance.
Event Objectives
After completing this training, participants will be able to:
• Describe the roles and responsibilities of the Laboratory Director in CLIA-certified laboratories.
• Summarize the purpose and scope of Laboratory Director University.
• Describe the Laboratory Director University curriculum, learning pathways, and opportunity for continuing education credits.
