Event Description

Workshop Overview
This 3-hour hands-on workshop will be held in the CDC’s B15 Laboratory Training Facility. Participants will learn why proper chemical storage and labeling are critical, using real examples from CDC and other institutions. The training covers CDC Chemical Hygiene Plan requirements and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and helps participants assess and correct chemical storage issues in their own labs.

Location & Access
If you do not have access to Building 15, please meet the escort at the Clifton Road entrance of Building 23 15 minutes before the start time for sign-in and escort to the training facility.

What to Bring
A training packet will be provided. Please bring a pen or pencil for note-taking.

If you cannot attend, email LabChemSafety@cdc.gov so the spot can be offered to the next person.
