Creating Next-Level Laboratory Training (CNLT)
CNLT is a series of eLearning and resources developed to help clinical and public health laboratory trainers enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities to create and deliver high-quality training. The strategies and practices covered are adaptable across different training types, including eLearning, in-person training, and hands-on approaches such as the “See one, do one, teach one” method.

By completing all eight CNLT eLearning courses, laboratory trainers will learn how to apply CDC’s Quality Training Standards to the training they develop for laboratory professionals.
Why is high-quality training important?
CDC’s Quality Training Standards are rooted in the science of quality training development and adult learning principles and provide guidance for developing training that results in learning. Instructors strengthen the clinical and public health laboratory workforce by developing high quality training that improves knowledge, competency, and reliability.
