About the Tool

This look-up tool is designed to help laboratory directors and professionals find training resources that can help improve CLIA proficiencies.
Users can also look up the sum or parts of CLIA regulations in 42 CFR Part 493 – Laboratory Requirements.

CLIA deficiency codes are used by laboratory surveyors to cite regulatory noncompliance.

Each deficiency code corresponds to a specific section of the CLIA regulations and has associated interpretive guidelines to help laboratories understand the requirements.
